Social Media Graphic Designer

The Social Media Graphic Designer will create platform-specific graphics for various social media channels and ensure all visual elements align with the university's brand messaging. The role also involves optimizing video thumbnails and implementing ADA-compliant design standards.
Responsibilities
- Design platform-specific graphics for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
- Ensure all visual elements align with the La Sierra University brand messaging and color palettes
- Create clear Call-to-Action assets designed to drive traffic to the University’s website
- Optimize video thumbnails for high Click-Through Rates (CTR) and design visual hooks for the first 3 seconds of vertical videos
- Implement ADA-compliant design standards, including high-contrast text and CamelCase hashtag integration in graphics
Requirements
- Current La Sierra University student
- Strong interest in graphic design, storytelling, or digital media
- Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Strong understanding of digital typography, color theory, and mobile-first design
- Familiarity with social media content and best practices
