3D Web Designer

The 3D Web Designer will lead the visual design and front-end experience for the Sphere Technology website, focusing on creating immersive 3D web experiences. This role involves collaborating with the product and development team to ensure seamless integration of 3D assets and optimizing performance across devices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build immersive 3D web experiences using Three.js, WebGL, or comparable libraries
• Lead the visual design direction for the Sphere Technology website from wireframe through production
• Create interactive 3D animations, scroll-driven sequences, and particle systems that align with brand identity
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of 3D assets into the web environment
• Optimize 3D scenes and assets for performance across desktop and mobile devices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in web design with a strong 3D/WebGL portfolio
• Proficiency in Three.js, WebGL, GLSL shaders, or similar 3D web technologies
• Strong command of Figma for UX/UI design and prototyping
• Experience with 3D modeling and animation tools (Blender, Cinema 4D, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (React preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to optimize 3D assets for web performance (LOD, texture compression, lazy loading)
