The Product Designer will be responsible for creating the complete user experience and visual identity of the AI Language Tutor application from onboarding to core interaction. This includes designing a voice-first interface and building a scalable design system.
Responsibilities
- Design from scratch: creating a complete user experience and visual identity of the mobile app - from onboarding to core flow of communication with the AI tutor
- Voice-first interface: designing an interface for voice interaction with AI in real-time - states of the AI avatar (idle / listening / thinking / speaking), voice visualization, feedback on pronunciation, scaffolded responses
- Design system: building a scalable design system from scratch that will allow the team to grow quickly without losing quality
- Onboarding & Monetization: designing flows that directly affect key metrics - activation, conversion to subscription, retention
- User Research: participating in customer development, testing prototypes on real users, iteration based on insights
Requirements
- 4-5 years of commercial experience in product design (Senior level) in B2C products
- Mobile-first expertise: strong portfolio of mobile apps (iOS/Android), understanding of native patterns and guidelines
- Design systems: proven experience in building and maintaining design systems from scratch
- Product mindset: you think in terms of metrics (CR, Retention, LTV), not just aesthetics. You understand how design affects unit economics
- Prototyping and animation: confident use of Figma, experience with motion design and micro animations (Rive, Lottie, After Effects or similar)
- English language: B2+ level or higher
- Startup mindset: you understand that an ideal design that no one sees is worse than a working MVP that already brings benefits to users. You are ready to take responsibility for the result and work in conditions of uncertainty
