As a Design Manager, you will oversee technical guidance, quality, schedule, and personnel management for design projects in Japan and India. You will also coordinate with clients and suppliers to ensure project alignment and success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical execution, quality assurance, scheduling, and resource allocation for design projects
- Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and clients, ensuring seamless alignment on technical specifications, project timelines, and budgetary goals
- Manage the comprehensive portfolio of design projects, ensuring strategic alignment with company objectives and operational excellence
- Foster collaboration and maintain critical communication channels between internal and external engineers and key suppliers
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in automotive resin parts design
- Experience with CATIA V5 or V6 (3D EXPERIENCE)
- Knowledge of solid/surface modeling and mechanical drafting
- Understanding of various resin parts manufacturing processes, DFMEA, GD&T, and cumulative tolerance analysis
- Japanese-English bilingual skills
