The Branch Design Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all engineering and design activities within the Business Unit. This includes ensuring technical quality, coordinating design disciplines, and contributing to project profitability.
Responsibilities
- Ensure technical quality and consistency of design and engineering documents
- Coordinate design disciplines effectively
- Optimize internal and external resource utilization
- Monitor and update the team on regulatory developments
- Define and follow technical training plans
- Coordinate activities between the Design & Engineering Department and other departments
- Manage operational priorities with the Technical Director
- Contribute to the success of offers and project profitability
- Participate in coordinating the Technical Department
- Ensure timely delivery of projects to clients
- Assure high-quality design and engineering documents
- Be the technical reference point for clients
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering in construction or Design & Build
- Fluent English language skills, French language skills preferred
- Experience in managing engineering teams
- Involvement in project bidding and commercial phases
- Solid knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering
- Understanding of cost and value engineering principles
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, IFC, BIM, and collaborative platforms
