Teamlead Design Engineering (m/w/d)

The Team Lead is responsible for planning and implementing construction orders while leading and developing a six-member team across two locations. Continuous improvement of the construction process and collaboration with other technical departments is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and development of the six-member team at two locations
• Continuous improvement of the construction process and support for cross-departmental process optimizations
• Ensuring compliance with relevant norms and regulations
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and coordination with other technical departments, project management, product compliance, sales, and after-sales service
• Planning and controlling the assigned cost center

Requirements

• Completed university degree in mechanical engineering
• Several years of experience in leading a cross-site team
• Practical experience in managing construction projects
• Sound knowledge of 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and PLM/ERP systems (preferably SAP)
• Practical experience in special machine construction, large parts/welding constructions, and relevant norms/guidelines is an advantage
• High sense of responsibility and structured work approach
• Communicative personality with process understanding
• Fluent English language skills (B2 - C1)
• Willingness to travel (~10%)
