The UI/UX Designer Intern will design engaging user interfaces for web and mobile applications and conduct user research to inform design improvements. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency and quality.
Responsibilities
- Designing engaging and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications that align with product objectives and user needs
- Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate concepts effectively
- Conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to inform iterative design improvements
- Collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design consistency and quality
- Staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative ideas into designs
- Assisting in creating and maintaining design systems and style guides to ensure visual consistency across products
Requirements
- Educational background with 1-2 years of experience or coursework in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar software
- A strong portfolio showcasing previous design projects, process, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of user-centered design, accessibility principles, and human-centered design methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
