Senior Antenna Design Systems Engineer – Satellite Communications

The Senior Antenna Design Systems Engineer will lead the development and qualification of multi-band antenna systems for satellite communication. This includes reviewing vendor designs, developing verification plans, and coordinating testing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for the development and qualification of satellite communication antenna systems
  • Review and assess antenna and RF subsystem designs provided by external vendors
  • Develop detailed antenna verification and validation plans
  • Define and execute comprehensive test scenarios covering RF performance, environmental qualification, reliability, and operational requirements
  • Analyze antenna parameters including gain, G/T, EIRP, beam patterns, polarization purity, sidelobe performance, isolation, VSWR, and cross-polarization characteristics

Requirements

  • MS in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
  • 7+ years of experience in satellite communications, RF systems engineering, or antenna development
  • Experience with C-band, L-band, and/or S-band antenna systems
  • Knowledge of antenna measurements, RF testing methodologies, and performance characterization
  • Experience reviewing vendor designs and managing technical interfaces with suppliers
