Lead all aspects related to power system network design and support teams with optimization from both technical and financial perspectives. Ensure technical queries are assessed and responded to, while performing engineering tasks and implementing best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects related to power system network design
- Support the teams with optimization from a technical and financial perspective
- Lead engineering feasibility studies and optimize the engineering solution
- Support the design of large-scale energy storage plants
- Review and challenge contractor design and engineering deliverables
- Carry out power/electrical system studies
- Develop power system design network
- Support the business development and procurement teams
- Support the project delivery teams
- Ensure technical queries are correctly assessed and responded to
- Perform engineering tasks and implement engineering best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical network design
- Experience in designing renewable systems
- Excellent understanding of power system engineering
- Project Management experience
- Fundamental understanding of power system network design and renewable connection design
- Knowledge of relevant software programs such as DigSilent Power Factory, BIM360, Revit, AutoCAD 3D
- Understanding of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) network
- Desire to work in a fast-moving, high-pressure and entrepreneurial environment
