Transportation Design Manager

The Transportation Design Manager provides technical leadership across various functional departments and oversees design services. They coordinate engineering staff assignments, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead technical teams during design projects.
Responsibilities
- Administers personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel
- Advises and provides direction to staff on proper execution of complex and advanced deliverables
- Coordinates in-house engineering and design staff assignments and workloads; develop staffing forecasts and budgets
- Develops work scopes and labor estimates for in-house design tasks
- Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal laws, guidelines, procedures, rules, regulations, and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- EIT/PE certification(s) strongly preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
