Planning & Design Manager

The Design Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, procurement, and implementation of multidisciplinary design projects. This includes managing projects across various scales and ensuring alignment with The Bentway’s Under Gardiner Public Realm Plan.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of Bentway-led design projects
- Advance project development with private and public stakeholders
- Oversee operational and construction budgets
- Maintain continual and timely communication with consultants, stakeholder user groups, and senior leadership team
Requirements
- Minimum of five years professional experience in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, and/or design
- Evidenced experience leading design and construction projects through various levels of development
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across sectors and disciplines
- Interest and experience with public-realm planning and urban design best practices

Stretching from Strachan Avenue to Spadina Avenue, The Bentway knits together seven neighbourhoods – Exhibition Place, Liberty Village, Niagara, Fort York Neighbourhood, Bathurst Quay, Wellington Place and CityPlace – acting as a gateway to the waterfront and providing access to important attractions and destinations.
