Transportation Design Manager

Provides technical leadership across engineering, design, and operations while managing both in-house and contracted design services. Oversees personnel functions, budget monitoring, and ensures adherence to design standards and governmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications
- Advise and provide direction to staff on proper execution of complex and advanced deliverables
- Coordinate in-house engineering and design staff assignments and workloads
- Develop work scopes and labor estimates for in-house design tasks
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws, guidelines, procedures, rules, regulations, and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- EIT/PE certification(s) strongly preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
