Temporary Works Design Manager

The Temporary Works Design Manager will lead the design of temporary railheads and all temporary works required for the HS2 Track infrastructure project. This includes ensuring compliance with HS2 standards, managing interfaces with civil works, and coordinating with designers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for ensuring that all temporary works are undertaken in accordance with the correct process, the appropriate standards and the scheme design
- Overall responsibility for ensuring the Temporary works are constructed in accordance with the design, the relevant drawings and specifications
- To be the first point of contact between the designer and the site team for all temporary works matters
- To ensure that those responsible for the on-site temporary works management/supervision have received the appropriate level of training
- Responsible through the lead TWC for ensuring that subcontractors managing, controlling and constructing temporary works have appropriate and adequate procedures
Requirements
- Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent
- Extensive experience in design and/or engineering management, temporary works, instrumentation and monitoring, and proven track record of delivery of large infrastructure projects
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer preferred experience
- Experience of working in a railway environment preferred, but not essential
