Lead the creative direction, design, and production of multiple annual publications while maintaining brand consistency. Design digital marketing assets and collaborate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative direction, design, and production of multiple annual publications
  • Design and layout magazines, tourism guides, community profiles, directories, maps, and advertising materials
  • Develop visually compelling publication concepts that align with client and company branding
  • Collaborate with publisher and production manager on project plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating magazine, publication, and marketing design work
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Experience working in a Mac-based environment
  • Thorough understanding of print production, prepress, color management, and file preparation

Bound’s legacy started in 1965, when H.N. “Ray” Spencer Jr. purchased The Waterways Journal, Inc., a maritime publications company in business since 1887. Ray served as publisher of The Waterways Journal until 1979, when he turned duties over to H. Nelson Spencer. Nelson continued the Journal’s tradition as the only American maritime publication that focuses exclusively on the inland waterways until his semi-retirement in 2014, when he named his son Nelson Spencer Jr. as publisher.
