Lead mechanical design activities for data center developments and act as the subject matter expert for HVAC and cooling infrastructure systems. Collaborate with various teams to ensure facilities are efficient, reliable, and future-proof.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design activities across data center developments
- Act as the subject matter expert for HVAC and cooling infrastructure systems
- Review engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation
- Develop and maintain the mechanical "Basis of Design" across projects
- Support projects through development, design review, tendering and construction phases
- Manage external consultants and engineering partners
- Drive value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop modular and prefabricated design strategies
- Collaborate closely with development, engineering and construction teams
- Build strong relationships with contractors, vendors and consultants
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing HVAC/cooling systems for major industrial or commercial facilities
- Strong understanding of cooling infrastructure, HVAC systems and energy optimisation
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms and CFD modelling tools
- Knowledge of EU environmental regulations, EN, ASHRAE and ISO standards
- Proven ability to manage complex technical scopes across multiple projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent German is a hard requirement
