Product Designer - E-Commerce
Phorest Remote (🇬🇧 Southill, SG17 5QL, United Kingdom)
Lead the design of B2C e-commerce experiences for salons and clinics to improve conversion and brand loyalty. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to create wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and scalable design system patterns.
Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in evolving end-to-end consumer shopping experiences
- Work in a tightly-knit group alongside a Product Manager and Engineering Manager
- Shape ideas, define outcomes, and iterate toward the best solution
- Collaborate closely with engineering to build, test, and ship ideas
- Balance fast iteration with high craft, ensuring the experience feels trustworthy, accessible, and delightful
- Contribute to shared patterns and the design system
- Champion our branded salon app within your team
- Work in a product engineering environment
- Design impactful solutions that directly address our clients' evolving needs
- Plan, run, and synthesise user research to validate assumptions
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and prototypes
- Design user-centred journeys across web and mobile
- Promote design best practices and raise the bar through constructive critique and feedback
Requirements
- 4+ years product design experience (UX/UI)
- Strong UI skills and a sharp visual design taste
- Strong understanding of information architecture, user experience, interaction, and visual design
- Proficiency in Figma and design prototyping tools
- Ability to apply user research methodologies and data to inform design decisions
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design
