The Sr Manager Design Engineering will manage the engineering function to meet station needs and regulatory requirements while acting as a backup to the Site Engineering Director. This role includes overseeing engineering personnel performance and development, ensuring high-quality engineering results, and participating in business planning and performance reviews.
Responsibilities
- Provide management of the engineering function with respect to station needs and regulatory requirements
- Manage the performance and development of assigned engineering personnel relative to site and corporate objectives
- Participate as key manager in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding Site Engineering
- Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff
- Ensure consistent and effective work force practices through assigned supervisors/functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) or related science
- 10 years of overall experience, which includes 4 years power plant, 1 year of nuclear power plant experience and 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience
- Active SRO license, inactive SRO license, SRO certification or plant operational knowledge consistent with the requirements of the engineering manager's job
