Design Manager

The Design Manager will lead and coordinate the design function on major data centre projects, ensuring design packages are delivered in line with client requirements and project scope. Responsibilities include managing the design team, conducting design reviews, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the design team and coordinate all aspects of design delivery
- Lead design reviews, technical workshops, and coordination meetings
- Ensure design packages are delivered in line with programme, client requirements, quality standards, and project scope
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, client representatives, and project stakeholders
- Review design documentation, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Identify and resolve design risks, clashes, buildability issues, and coordination gaps
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Design Manager, Design Lead, Technical Manager, or Senior Design Coordinator
- Strong experience on data centre projects is essential
- Background in engineering, construction, architecture, or building services
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination
- Ability to manage consultants, contractors, and internal design teams
- Strong knowledge of construction delivery, buildability, and design programme management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
