The Product Designer will shape the future of Meta's products by creating valuable, easy-to-use features through end-to-end flows and strategic innovation. They will lead cross-functional collaborations to drive product direction and mentor other team members to maintain high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion + users
- Drive product strategy and innovation across a large organization
- Design leading-edge concepts through the craft of end-to-end flows which impact broad sets of users at scale
- Drive design prioritization and execution, keeping up team's momentum to meet accelerated timelines
- Design new experiences or layouts that evolve visual systems
- Play an active role in communicating strategic decisions around the future direction of Meta products
- Give and solicit feedback from a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality
- Act as a key cross-functional lead accountable for the success of the initiative, leaning into workstream-level operations and processes when needed
- Influence and drive alignment on product direction across multiple large organizations and extended cross-functional partners
Requirements
- Interaction design experience with knowledge defining and evangelizing how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs
- 8+ years of experience building and shipping applications or software at company-level scale
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
- Visual design experience with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense
- Experience representing work to executives, clearly and succinctly communicating the goals and concepts
- Strategic product thinking with the experience developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company
