The Director will establish and lead the Shanghai hardware design center, focusing on Active Electrical Cable and Smart Cable Module product design and customer engineering support. This role involves building a multidisciplinary team and ensuring alignment with global engineering standards and customer priorities.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead Astera Labs' Shanghai hardware design center
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-caliber multidisciplinary engineering team
- Define organizational structure, hiring roadmap, and operating model for the Shanghai center
- Drive engineering culture that emphasizes design rigor, manufacturing awareness, customer responsiveness, and tight collaboration
- Serve as the senior Astera Labs engineering leader in China
Requirements
- Experience in hardware design engineering
- Strong technical background
- Leadership skills
- Ability to establish and lead a hardware design center
- Experience in high-speed electrical design, substrate/flex design, and mechanical design
