As a Graphic Designer 2, you will create strong visual designs and support the production of high-quality signage and artwork. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders, operating specialized tools, and maintaining organized artwork files.
Responsibilities
- Design Production: Produce detailed artwork and signage using both digital tools and traditional methods
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with project partners to understand goals and create clear visual concepts
- Equipment Operation: Operate specialized sign shop tools including printers, routers, and engraving equipment
- Creative Development: Contribute ideas during project discussions and support the creation of new design approaches
- File Management: Maintain organized artwork files and prepare accurate production-ready materials
- Material Handling: Perform hands-on tasks with various substrates to build completed display graphics
Requirements
- One year as a Graphic Designer 1 or equivalent Federal Government job title
- Three years of technical experience in creating graphic art for communication materials, displays, or exhibits and an associate degree in graphic design, graphic art, fine arts, visual communication, communication design, digital communication, or a closely related field
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with Adobe InDesign
- Ability to perform essential job functions
