Product Designer
Six Degrees Executive 🇦🇺 Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
The role involves designing and developing new products from concept through to production while collaborating with various stakeholders. You will also evolve existing product ranges and support marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new products from concept through to production
- Translate consumer insights, market trends, and commercial objectives into compelling product solutions
- Create CAD models, technical drawings, prototypes, and product renders
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing, compliance, quality, and cost requirements
- Collaborate with offshore manufacturing partners and external engineering resources throughout the development process
- Evolving and enhance existing product ranges in line with brand and category strategies
- Support the development of visual assets and creative content for product launches and marketing initiatives
- Contribute to broader brand and visual identity projects as the business continues to evolve its portfolio
Requirements
- A degree qualification in Industrial Design or a related discipline
- 3-5 years' experience in Product Design or Industrial Design
- Experience developing physical consumer products from concept through to manufacture
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD and Keyshot
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technical specifications, and product compliance requirements
- The ability to balance creativity with commercial considerations and target cost requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple functions
