Design Manager - High Voltage Substations

The Design Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering high-voltage infrastructure and renewable energy projects, ensuring designs are well-integrated and compliant. They will collaborate with various engineering disciplines and external stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain consistency across projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across primary & secondary design, overhead lines, civil and structural disciplines
- Ensure designs are well-integrated, compliant, efficient and aligned with client and industry requirements
- Work closely with engineering management, design teams and external stakeholders to resolve challenges, maintain consistency across disciplines, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex, large-scale projects
Requirements
- Degree qualifications in electrical engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer status
- Significant experience in High Voltage engineering design within utilities or renewables
- A track record of contributing to large, multi-discipline projects
- Strong understanding of transmission grid projects and renewable energy connection requirements
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
