Mechanical Project Engineer, Project Execution, Design Engineering Quality

The Mechanical Project Engineer will own and execute the mechanical design of automated fulfillment center projects, ensuring project subsystems are developed from concept through installation. They will also provide oversight and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring quality and adherence to project standards.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop sub system layouts for automated material handling systems with minimal oversight
- Independently select and specify conveyor types, third-party equipment, and systems to meet project requirements
- Deliver complete 3D models and manage clash detection for entire project areas
- Coordinate with construction teams to resolve layout conflicts and ensure efficient installation
- Lead communication with on-site construction teams, making decisions to address field issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Experience leading technical initiatives and key deliverables
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite
