Mechanical Project Engineer, Project Execution, Design Engineering Quality

The Mechanical Project Engineer will own and execute the mechanical design of automated fulfillment center projects, ensuring project subsystems are developed from concept through installation. They will also provide oversight and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring their work meets project standards.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop sub system layouts for automated material handling systems
- Independently select and specify conveyor types, third-party equipment, and systems to meet project requirements
- Coordinate with electrical, controls, and structural engineers to ensure integrated design solutions
- Deliver complete 3D models and manage clash detection for entire project areas
- Execute and manage mechanical engineering deliverables, schedules, and quality standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Experience leading technical initiatives and key deliverables
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite
