Design Manager (Civils)

You will provide design leadership across various infrastructure projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs. Additionally, you will manage design programs, technical risks, and ensure compliance with client requirements and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide design leadership across small to large infrastructure projects
- Coordinate multidisciplinary in-house and external design teams
- Ensure all outputs meet client requirements, technical standards, and UK legislative obligations
- Establish robust design processes, procedures, and governance
- Manage design programmes, technical risk, change control, resourcing, and forecasting
- Act as the primary technical interface with clients and stakeholders
- Mentor and support junior engineers
Requirements
- A degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
- Significant experience in design and management within the water or related infrastructure sector
- Proven track record of project leadership and successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects
- In-depth knowledge of UK H&S and design regulations, particularly CDM 2015
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills
- Commercially astute with experience in managing project finances, risks, and change control
- Full UK Driving License
