Senior Design Manager – Highways

You will manage and coordinate highway and road infrastructure design packages throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with design outputs and project requirements. Additionally, you will oversee the resolution of design issues and support the transition from design to construction.

Responsibilities

• Management and coordination of highway and road infrastructure design packages across the project lifecycle
• Acting as a key interface between design consultants, delivery teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of design outputs
• Reviewing and managing design deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards and project requirements
• Overseeing the resolution of design issues, clashes, and interface challenges across civil, structural and utilities disciplines
• Ensuring designs are buildable, cost-effective, and aligned with programme constraints
• Supporting value engineering and optimisation of highway design solutions
• Managing design change, ensuring robust control processes and impact assessments are in place
• Coordinating with site teams to ensure smooth transition from design to construction and support technical queries during delivery

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Engineer within highways or major infrastructure projects
• Strong background in road, highway, and transportation design on large-scale developments
• Experience working within a PMC, delivery partner or consultant environment
• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business
