The Product Designer II creates 3D designs for automotive interior, mechatronics, and NVH components using NX and Teamcenter. Responsibilities span the entire design process from conceptual modeling to production-level detailing.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D designs using NX and Teamcenter for packaging, concept, design, layout, sections, and envelopes of Interior, Mechatronics, and NVH components and assemblies
- Participate in the entire design process, from conceptual model creation to production-level design and detailing
- Collaborate with teams to develop Interior, Mechatronics, and NVH systems
- Work with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of design experience in NX (Unigraphics) automotive design
- Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems
- Practical knowledge of automotive vehicles and the vehicle assembly process
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, welding)
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
