The Design Manager will oversee the entire design management process, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to deliver innovative and high-quality results on time and within budget. Responsibilities include managing the design in the concept phase and ensuring alignment between project development and the unique value proposition.
Responsibilities
- Managing the design process and working with stakeholders
- Leading projects and ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and goal-oriented implementation of designs
- Developing high-quality, effective, and economically viable design solutions
- Collaborating with the development manager to support overall project management
- Ensuring the application of internal standards and creation of design briefs and central concept documents
- Supporting rental activities, especially in discussions with tenants when design input is required
- Proactively identifying risks and contributing to stakeholder management
Requirements
- Completed studies in architecture or design
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in real estate development, design management, or architecture
- Leadership and team management skills
- Experience in design management and use of relevant tools and methods
- Practical experience with BIM tools and AutoCAD
- Good knowledge of design principles and German language
- Ability to balance design quality with economic and technical requirements
- Interest in innovations, especially in the practical use of AI tools in design and project management
- Fluent English and German language skills
