The Design Manager will manage and coordinate the full design process across multiple commercial schemes. This includes reviewing design information, leading meetings, and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating the full design process across multiple commercial schemes
- Reviewing structural, architectural and consultant design information
- Leading consultant coordination meetings and driving design team performance
- Identifying and resolving buildability, sequencing and technical challenges
- Managing design programmes and information release schedules
- Liaising closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams
- Ensuring compliance with current UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements
Requirements
- Established Design Manager from a main contractor background
- Job running Structural Engineers coming in from practice
- Strong structural engineering background
- Excellent leadership skills
