Responsibilities
- Leading the design management process across the project lifecycle – from pre-construction to handover
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring alignment to client and regulatory requirements
- Driving design assurance, compliance, and optimisation on a complex electrical substation project
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, influencing decisions and facilitating change
- Supporting site delivery by managing technical queries, risk, and quality assurance
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Chartered or working towards)
- 10+ years' experience in design management, with proven expertise in substation or major power/infrastructure projects
- Strong track record of leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex projects
- Knowledge of statutory compliance, risk management, and governance in design
- A collaborative leader, able to inspire teams, manage change, and navigate complex client environments
