As a Principal Product Designer, you will lead product excellence and user experience across the platform, collaborating with the executive team to define product strategy. You will design for multiple user personas and drive user-centric thinking while scaling the design function.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating at the highest levels of the company to define product strategy and business direction
- Designing for multiple personas across a layered ecosystem, respecting and unifying distinct needs, contexts, and interaction styles
- Driving user-centric thinking across the company, bringing a high-craft, systems-oriented approach to understanding problems and experimenting with solutions
- Defining new interaction patterns for a world where users collaborate with AI
- Bringing coherence to the Zuma experience, ensuring a beautifully unified system across various interfaces and workflows
- Scaling the design function from its early roots into a high-performing team, building standards, rituals, and mentorship
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and leading products with exceptional UX at early-stage or high-growth companies
- Track record of executive partnership, shaping bold product bets with product, engineering, and business leaders
- Deep experience designing complex platforms or tools, ideally for operations-heavy domains
- A belief in the power of agentic AI and a passion for pioneering new design paradigms
- First-principles thinker with a high bar for craft, reflecting creativity, clarity, and restraint in design work
