Design and develop innovative attractions and equipment for Family Entertainment Centres (FECs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet safety standards and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing innovative attractions and equipment for Family Entertainment Centres
- Developing concepts, layouts, mock-ups, and detailed designs using tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Creating engaging indoor and outdoor play experiences that balance creativity, functionality, and user experience
- Contribute to the development of new products and attraction concepts
- Ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturing, assembly, durability, and cost efficiency
- Selecting appropriate materials based on performance, safety, and commercial requirements
- Collaborating closely with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the development process
- Designing products in accordance with international safety standards, including ASTM and EN requirements
- Conducting risk assessments and integrating safety considerations into all design stages
- Ensuring products meet quality, performance, and compliance expectations
- Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Design, and Project teams
- Supporting client proposals through conceptual layouts, visual presentations, and design solutions
- Participating in client discussions and project development activities
- Staying informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products
- Conducting market research and contributing to innovation initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to enhance product performance and customer experience
- Supporting prototype development and testing activities
- Evaluating product performance and user feedback
- Refining and improving designs through iterative development
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Product Design or a related field
- 5 to 12+ years of experience in Product Design
- Experience within Family Entertainment Centres, playgrounds, recreational products, sports equipment, or structural systems is highly desirable
- Proven track record of bringing products from concept through manufacturing
