The Energy Management Efficiency Synthesis Design Manager leads the integration and delivery of Energy Management simulation and validation activities across vehicle programs. This role involves overseeing a team of engineers and ensuring vehicles meet performance and efficiency targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead vehicle-level Energy Management performance (Fuel Economy, EV range, Longitudinal Performance, Capability)
  • Own program status, risk management, and executive reporting in coordination with EMAT PPL
  • Lead cross-functional trade-offs balancing efficiency, performance, and compliance
  • Ensure alignment with Propulsion Systems (calibration, controls, hardware, simulation), Vehicle Synthesis, and Regulatory teams throughout development and validation
  • Drive integration of simulation, test data, and engineering targets through deep-dive analysis
  • Lead participation in NA Fuel Economy & CO2 Working Group and coordination with TSRC
  • Coordinate with Global EMAT, Propulsion Systems, and Regulatory teams on export programs
  • Ensure compliance with current and emerging regulatory requirements
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers
  • Manage priorities and ensure execution against milestones
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement among team members
  • Reinforce existing Energy Management processes and promote development of new methodologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in vehicle or propulsion system development
  • Experience in vehicle Fuel Economy and Performance testing or simulation
  • Knowledge of Fuel Economy / CO2 regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
