Staff Product Designer, APM

The Staff Product Designer will lead design initiatives within the APM team, focusing on creating intuitive experiences for complex technical workflows. They will collaborate with PMs and engineers to drive product direction and enhance user understanding of system behavior.
Responsibilities
- Designing intuitive experiences for highly technical systems, balancing user needs with platform scalability and engineering constraints
- Partnering closely with PMs and engineers to design and implement solutions
- Driving end-to-end product thinking across onboarding, instrumentation, troubleshooting, debugging, runtime analysis, and performance investigation workflows
- Navigating ambiguity and defining product direction through research, systems thinking, prototyping, and iterative execution
- Collaborating closely with engineering teams through implementation, prototyping interactions in code, and refining product quality
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in digital product design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a track record of designing and shipping complex technical products and systems-oriented workflows
- Experience designing for developer platforms, observability tools, infrastructure products, or other highly technical domains
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and influence product direction through strong systems thinking and product judgment
