Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Hinge Health’s design system, ensuring it supports a wide range of surfaces. Collaborate with engineering on implementation details and establish standards and governance for the design system.
Responsibilities
- Own the Design System: Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Hinge Health's design system
- Define and evolve core components, patterns, tokens, and interaction standards used across the product
- Partner Deeply with Engineering: Collaborate closely with engineers on implementation details, tradeoffs, and system architecture
- Set Standards & Governance: Partner with feature teams through office hours and design reviews
- Act as a design system 'domain owner,' providing guidance and sign-off on system-level decisions
- Raise the Bar for Design Quality: Identify inconsistencies, duplication, and fragmentation across the product
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience
- Deep ownership of a design system at scale
- A standout portfolio showcasing high-impact design systems work and leadership
- Highly effective communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success mentoring designers and elevating the quality of team output
- Deep fluency with tokens, component architecture, variants, and Figma systems craft
