Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of HV/MV transmission and substation designs ensuring they are safe, compliant, and cost-effective. Manage multidisciplinary interfaces across civil and electrical teams while mentoring engineering staff to uplift technical capability.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination and delivery of HV/MV transmission designs
- Ensure designs are safe, compliant, cost‑effective and constructible
- Manage interfaces across civil, electrical, protection and controls
- Mentor engineering teams and uplift capability
- Apply Australian standards and govern technical quality
- Identify design risks and propose technical solutions
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement
- Support stakeholder engagement, proposals and business development
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Status (including RPEV, RPEQ, NER & CPEng), or the ability to achieve within 6 months of commencing, is desirable
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor experience is highly regarded
- Extensive experience (10+ years) leading engineering teams in infrastructure/transmission projects
- Ideally, 5+ years of fieldwork, supporting hands-on engineering and site collaboration
- Experience with standards like IEC, IEEE, AS/NZS and a strong safety-first mindset
