Lead the coordination and integration of multidisciplinary design activities for large-scale data center projects from pre-construction to handover. Act as the primary interface between clients, consultants, and construction teams to ensure alignment with technical standards and project goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design management process from pre-construction through project execution and handover
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical)
- Act as the primary interface between client, consultants, and construction teams
- Ensure designs meet data center-specific standards (resilience, redundancy, scalability, and sustainability)
- Review and manage design deliverables, drawings, and specifications for compliance and quality
- Identify and mitigate design risks; drive value engineering and optimization initiatives
- Support procurement strategy by aligning design packages with construction sequencing
- Manage design changes and ensure effective change control processes
- Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder meetings
- Ensure design solutions are aligned with local regulations, codes, and permitting requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in design management or project engineering, preferably in data centers or mission-critical environments
- Proven track record delivering large-scale data center or similar complex infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and critical infrastructure design principles
- Experience working with general contractors, consultants, and hyperscale clients
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment
- Familiarity with BIM, digital design coordination tools, and design management platforms
