Principal Design Manager - Rail

Lead the design management of complex rail infrastructure projects from feasibility through to delivery. Manage high-performing design teams and maintain strong relationships with transport authorities and partners.
Responsibilities
- Leading the design management of complex rail infrastructure projects
- Ensuring compliance with relevant rail standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing design teams
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Preparing high-quality design documentation, reports, and executive briefings
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in rail infrastructure design and delivery
- Chartered status (CPEng or equivalent) and eligibility/membership with Engineers Australia or Engineering New Zealand
- Strong experience in multidisciplinary design coordination and integration
- Experience working within ANZ rail environments and regulatory frameworks
- Proven delivery across multi-disciplinary rail programs
