Lead end-to-end user research studies to understand how customers discover and purchase Amazon Devices across web and mobile platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate research insights into actionable product visions and business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key partners to identify research opportunities and prioritize research questions
  • Translate research needs into learning plans and opportunity frameworks
  • Manage recurring user research programs and apply continuous improvement methods
  • Own all aspects of user research studies: study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communication, and activation
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to audiences at varying levels of the organization
  • Deliver measurable business impact, as evidenced by research-informed changes to product direction

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on work with field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
  • Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics
  • Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)
