Mechanical Project Engineer, Design Engineering Quality

Oversee the mechanical design and implementation of large-scale automated fulfillment center projects from concept to completion. Lead cross-functional engineering teams, manage stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient logistics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct comprehensive layouts for multiple automated material handling system projects
- Manage coordination with electrical, controls, and structural engineering teams to ensure cohesive, integrated designs
- Provide strategic direction and final approval on mechanical design decisions
- Allocate resources and assign projects to engineers based on complexity and development needs
- Develop and manage mechanical engineering project plans, schedules, deliverables and ways of working across multiple projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent
- Experience with design & innovation and research & development
- Experience in management of engineering design projects
- Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
