Onsite $60,000 - $80,000 Full-time Entry Level

Support the design, prototyping, and validation of mechanical components for battery energy storage systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create 3D CAD models and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of mechanical components, modules, and assemblies for next generation BESS products
  • Assist with prototyping, testing, and validation activities in the lab and production environments
  • Contribute to 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design studio, hardware engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, and operations
  • Support documentation efforts including drawings, design records, and test reports
  • Take ownership of a defined project that delivers tangible value to the team by the end of the internship

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Foundational knowledge of mechanical design principles
  • Coursework or project experience with 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred, others accepted)
  • Familiarity with 2D drafting and engineering drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a hands-on lab and prototype environment
