Engineering Design Manager

Lead the delivery of complex engineering design solutions for critical defence and infrastructure programmes. Act as a technical authority ensuring designs are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose across nuclear and non-nuclear environments.
Responsibilities
- Leading the technical delivery of engineering design projects from concept through to handover
- Managing design scope, resources, risks, and delivery to meet quality, time, and budget requirements
- Acting as the technical authority and primary point of contact for design-related activities
- Coordinating internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex design solutions
- Ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and operational requirements throughout the lifecycle
Requirements
- Strong technical background within engineering, construction, or infrastructure environments
- Proven experience managing the design lifecycle and solving complex engineering challenges
- Understanding of design and safety requirements within regulated or safety-critical industries
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
