Product Designer

The first dedicated product designer will own the design process end-to-end, from user research to polished UI. They will create novel interfaces to help scientists manage lab automation and complex technical protocols.
Responsibilities
- Tackle problems with few points of comparison, doing user research, shaping the information architecture, designing the interface, and watching real scientists use what you make
- Design novel interfaces to communicate lab automation to scientists
- Work alongside software engineers, automation engineers, and the founders to design and develop the product
Requirements
- 3+ years professional experience designing software products
- Ability to run a project end-to-end: research, sketches, prototypes, polished UI, and a clean handoff to engineers
- Fluency in Figma and adjacent tools
- Comfortable with multi-discipline technical complexity
