Design Manager

Lead a team to coordinate engineering technical aspects for complex aviation and infrastructure projects. Oversee design reviews, manage technical risk assessments, and ensure compliance with project scope and budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects
- Participate in project planning, proposal review, and own the engineering elements of capital estimates
- Apply broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering with a focus on aviation or airport projects
- Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements
- Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to management
- Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas and facilitates technical discussions between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with suppliers and contractors and between other stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of Aviation related industry/regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of engineering planning and control methods and knowledge of infrastructure project construction practices
- Extensive knowledge of field engineering, construction and T&C activities
