Own the end-to-end design lifecycle for unmanned system interfaces, spanning both digital software and physical hardware interactions. Establish foundational design systems and collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver intuitive, production-ready interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Own the full design lifecycle: discovery → flows → wireframes → prototypes → high-fidelity UI
- Design and iterate on interfaces and workflows
- Create intuitive interaction models for complex or technical use cases
- Establish early design systems, patterns, and standards
- Contribute to defining UX principles across physical + digital interactions
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Hardware teams
Requirements
- 3–6+ years in product design / UI/UX design
- Experience owning end-to-end design for shipped products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX problem-solving and structured thinking
- Ability to design for stateful systems, not just static screens
- Ability to simplify complex workflows
- Comfortable operating as a solo / first designer
