Define and create new UX patterns for AI agents in the cybersecurity space, owning the product surface end-to-end. Establish a scalable design system and drive product direction through research and strategic collaboration with engineering and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Define AI-agent UX patterns, designing how security teams collaborate with autonomous AI agents
- Drive product direction, not just design, operating as a product-led designer and shaping roadmap, challenging requirements, and influencing leadership with research and business reasoning
- Own the product surface end-to-end, taking features from problem framing through shipped product, working in tight partnership with PMs and engineers, including backend
- Build the design system, creating and scaling a component-based design system that becomes the foundation for everything we ship
- Pioneer AI-assisted design workflows, using AI tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and exploration, and developing the methodologies the rest of the team will adopt
- Translate research into design, running customer research, talking to security teams directly, and turning what you learn into shipped product
- Set the quality bar, establishing what 'good' looks like for product design at Maze across craft, consistency, and customer impact
Requirements
- 4-7 years of professional product design experience, with shipped work in B2B SaaS
- Visual craft for data-dense UI, with strong colour theory, deliberate visual hierarchy, and considered information architecture
- Product design track record, with demonstrated craft and clear ownership
- Data-heavy B2B interfaces experience, with direct experience designing for complex workflows, dense data, and technical audiences
- AI as tool, not crutch, with the ability to use AI tools as part of daily workflow and speak credibly to what they're good for and where they break down
- Product-strategic thinking, with a track record of driving product direction and influencing what to build with research
- Deep engineering collaboration, with demonstrable history of shipping work in tight partnership with engineers, including backend
- Design systems experience, with background building or meaningfully contributing to a design system in a production product
