Design Manager

The Design Manager will coordinate the design development and delivery of large-scale multi-discipline land development infrastructure projects. This includes managing project stakeholders, ensuring quality standards are met, and overseeing design progress and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Participating in and coordinating the design development and delivery of large and multi-discipline land development infrastructure projects
• Coordinating, monitoring and verifying design progress and submittals at all design phases
• Liaising, in coordination with the Project Manager, with the various project stakeholders, including internal teams, the client, consultants and contractors
• Participating in establishing and implementing the Project Management Plan and procedures
• Ensuring project standards and Quality Management procedures are implemented across each of the technical areas involved in the project, including project administration
• Ensuring terms of the contract are followed and manage scope changes and their effect on delivery of project objectives
• Organizing, attending or chairing design meetings and workshops, which will include preparing meeting minutes and following up on identified actions

Requirements

• 15+ years of work experience
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree is preferable
• Proven experience in the design of various infrastructures
• Experienced in 3D modeling infrastructure design methodologies and software
• Knowledge in BIM and AutoCAD Civil 3D is an advantage
