(Senior) UX Designer (m/w/d)
Checkmk Gmbh Remote (🇩🇪 Munich, Bavaria, Germany)
The UX Designer will create positive user experiences for Checkmk's IT monitoring software by simplifying complex workflows and ensuring usability. They will collaborate closely with product teams and users to gather insights and drive data-informed design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Simplify complexity by breaking down intricate workflows and technical concepts into intuitive, user-friendly solutions
- Utilize usability best practices and design patterns to create user flows and wireframes based on user stories and research insights
- Balance aesthetics with functionality to create clean, user-centered interfaces
- Contribute to and evolve the design system to ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and scalability across the product
- Gather feedback and insights from users via surveys, interviews, usability tests, and casual conversations
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with product teams and the UX team to ensure that user research findings are integrated into the design process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to UX, HCI or media communications OR a certification such as CPUX-F OR equivalent experience
- At least 4 years of experience in UX or product design, ideally in a data-heavy B2B software sector
- Passionate about delivering great user experiences
- Detail-oriented person with a hands-on mentality
- Eager to dive into complex problems in complex environments
- Confidently lead user interviews and usability tests in German and English
- Knowledge of design and whiteboarding tools, such as Figma, Balsamiq, and Figjam
- Embraces AI tools to speed up work without compromising on quality
