Onsite Full-time Senior

The Truss Design Manager oversees the creation of accurate design illustrations for roof and floor trusses based on customer blueprints. They are also responsible for managing staff, ensuring production standards are met, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting the direction and managing areas of employment such as hiring, communication, motivation, discipline, separation, and other areas
  • Ensures goals are outlined for employees and are met
  • Creates design illustrations based on blueprints to produce working drawings for fabrication
  • Completes and finalizes designs for production and assembly
  • Evaluates designs to ensure that design standards are being met
  • Reviews and analyzes specifications, blueprints, engineered drawings and related designs to determine factors affecting design of the wall, truss and engineered wood components
  • Communicates with production teams, customers, and Store Managers to ensure designs are accurate throughout the process
  • Assists stores in responding to questions/concerns from customers

Requirements

  • 10-15 years in MiTek
  • Previous management experience in the building material industry preferred
  • Knowledgeable in the basic aspects of construction
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledgeable in reading architectural and structural plans
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work activities
  • Strong work knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
